Greetings and welcome 2017 NASA Kiksapa Summer REU!

The NASA Experiential Learning Opportunity (TCU-ELO) program, Haskell Indian Nations University and the Montana Space Grant Consortium (MTSGC) have partnered for the 2017 NASA ELO Summer REU consists of 3 weeks of instruction and mentoring from June 12-June 30, 2017 at Haskell Indian Nations University. During this time, you will receive training in GIS, remote sensing, climate change as well as the social dimensions of climate impacts. We will also be working with you to help you create and complete research projects with a climate change theme using the tools you will gain through the training at Haskell. At the conclusion of the workshop, you will then head home to your own institutions for the remainder of the experience. While at home, you will be expected to finish your research and complete your projects with the help of mentors and the instruction staff.

The final products of the summer experience are a completed Plan of Work, PowerPoint presentation of your work.  Examples of these can be seen from the 2011-2014 NASA TCUP REU and 2015-2016 NASA ELO REU Pages.

We have assembled a first-class group of scientists and mentors who will be working with you every step of the way for the duration of your experience this summer.   We all are here to help guide you through this process to make the NASA Kiksapa REU Summer REU a wonderful experience.
